In Person Registration Dates for 2010 Season

In-Person Registration has ended for this coming season. You may still register by mail by following the mail-in instructions below. Space is limited and some age groups may be full.

Late fees will be charged for all registrations received after 3/31/2010.

No registrations will be accepted after 9/30/2010.

Founding Principles

Horsham Soccer was founded on three fundamental principles:
  1. Learning and playing should be fun.
  2. Team success is secondary to individual player development.
  3. Every player, regardless of his/her skill level, should be provided an environment conducive to his/her skill level.

Refunds

75% Refund if requested by July 1,50% between July 2 and August 1, after that date no refund.

Registration Requirements

  • Checks should be made out toHorsham Soccer Association
  • Completed and signed Registration Form
  • New players must submit copy of Birth Certificate as proof of age
  • Medical Form completed if necessary (see below)
  • Signed Parents Pledge (see below)
If you would like to coach then you will also need to fill out an EPYSA Volunteer Disclosure Form. These will be available at Registration.

Medical Issues

By registering your child you are acknowledging that soccer is a contact sport and that injuries can occur. It is also a sport that requires the ability to play with other children and listen to adult coaches.If your child has any medical or other issues, including: asthma,allergies, ADD, etc - that may affect their ability to participate please indicate that on a separate medical form and have this form signed by the child's doctor. We will make reasonable efforts to help all children particpate as much as possible.It is the parents' responsibility to inform HSA officials and the coaches of your chid's team of any special needs.It is the parents' responsibility to monitor your child's condition at all times and to take appropriate precautions and actions necessary to protect your child's health.Notarized medical forms are necessary for all travel players. This requirement will be explained by the coach of the team.Medical forms should be submitted for Intramural players only if that player has a condition that may affect their ability to participate or may be affected by their participation.Medical information will be shared with team coaches and club officials.

Parents Pledge

All parents are asked to sign a parent's pledge. Horsham Soccer is here to provide a fun and positive experience for all children, parents, and coaches. Parents must commit to this effort.

Age Requirements

  • Child must be at least 4 years old and no older than 18 years old as of July 31 for the upcoming season.
  • New Players must provide a copy of their birth certificate when registering as proof of age.
  • See Travel and Intramural age charts below.

Intramural Teams

Horsham Soccer's Intramural League is designed to provide children between the ages of 4 and 18 with a recreational soccer program.
  • Intramural teams are available for boys and girls.
  • Teams are gender and age specific.
  • Players do not need to try out for intramural teams.
  • Practices begin in August.
  • Season runs September into November (weather permitting)
  • Senior teams (U12/U15/U18) play in the Joint Intramural League against intramural teams from neighboring clubs such as Warrington, Warminster, New Hope, etc.
  • Click on the Intramural button on the top menu for more information on the intramural and joint intramural leagues.

Travel Teams

  • Travel Teams play at a more competitive level against other clubs in the area.
  • Travel Teams are available for boys and girls.
  • Travel Teams are gender specific and age pure.
  • Travel Teams require a greater commitent of time, plus additional travel, tournament, uniform and other expenses.
  • The number of travel spots may be limited.
  • All travel player must try out each year.
  • Please indicate your interest in trying out for a travel team when you are registering and you will be notified of try-out dates.
  • Players not chosen for a travel team will be assigned automatically to an intramural team.
  • Travel teams must have a minimum number of players residing in the Hatboro-Horsham School District.
  • Travel Season runs July 15 through June. Travel team schedules are beyodn the control of the club.
  • Team commitment to tournaments, indoor play,and spring activities depends on each team's coach
